Socioeconomic Health Score

Predict health risks more precisely without claims data

Socioeconomic Health Score is a health risk prediction that leverages key socioeconomic attributes found within public records data to provide health care entities with a picture of future risk. This solution enables health plans to view patients as people living dynamic lives, and creates transparency that drives highly informed decisions.

  • Eliminates the dependency on claims and Rx data to predict health risks which is critically important for new enrollees
  • Compliments or powers existing population health analytics with a composite score to identify patients for proactive intervention
  • Allows customer to quickly understand individual health risk without building, implementing, or tuning complex clinical risk models
  • Predicts the potential health risk over the next 12 months for new members and members who do not utilize their health care benefits
  • Utilizes the Socioeconomic Health Attributes and internally derived measures based on socioeconomic data
  • Member-level score represented in two (2) ways:
    • Index relative to a member population (member’s forecast/average population forecast)
      • A score greater than 1 indicates that a member is at above-average health risk
    • Percentile ranking (1 – 100)
      • The higher the percentile ranking of the member, the higher the member’s health risk
  • Available via flat or XML files refreshed in various frequencies (weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually)
